Customer Relationships
Bucknell University
Silvertip and Bucknell University have developed a relationship that includes work ranging from existing steam line replacement, plan and specification bid projects, and time and material projects to budgeting and design-build construction. Silvertip has completed more then ten projects per year for Bucknell University over the past three years.
One on-going project is the new Barnes & Noble College Bookstore in downtown Lewisburg, PA. The new Barnes & Noble Bookstore will be complete in the spring of 2010 with a grand opening in the summer of 2010. Silvertip served as the design/build mechanical engineer/contractor for the project which encompasses three levels of books and merchandising as well as a cafe and special events wing.
One of the highlighted past projects that we completed is the renovation of the Swartz Hall dormintory. The renovation was a complete architectural and mechanical renovation with over three million dollars of mechanical work and over ten thousand labor hours that was completed in less than three months. Evangelical Community Hospital
Evangelical Community Hospital and Silvertip Incorporated have completed nearly three dozen projects in the past three years. These projects have included humidification, dedicated air conditioning, dedicated outside air ventilation, sanitary revisions, doctors' offices, and code compliance as some of the primary goals. We are currently working on Evangelical Community Hospital's high anticipated thirty-two million dollar surgical and cardiovascular expansion.
The expansion include a 800 MBH Chiller and 37,000 CFM Air Handling Unit as well as steam humidifiers, dedicated ventilators, exhaust fans, air curtain, dedicated air conditioning units, new rooftop units and air handlers, and variable air volume terminals as some of the equipment being installed. The project is the largest ever taken on by Evangelical Community Hospital with completion scheduled for the winter of 2012.
Susquehanna University
Susquehanna University and Silvertip Incorporated have continued to work together in a variety of relationships including design/build, budgeting, new construction, renovation, and green building. Over the past three three years Susquehanna University has increased its on campus housing by adding seven (7) apartment-style dormitory buildings; all part of the West Village Housing Complex. All seven (7) West Village Buildings use geothermal energy for heating and cooling and incorporate energy recovery units for ventilation. We served as the design/build contractor for the project.
In addition to the West Village projects Silvertip has worked to help build the New Science Building on campus, a state-of-the-art "green" building seeking LEED Certification, as well as are currently working to design a new Outpatient Clinic in cooperation with Geisinger Health Systems. Construction for the Outpatient Clinic is slated for April 2010.

Weis Markets
Weis Markets and Silvertip Incorporated work together on a weekly basis for time and material projects as well as plan and specification contracts. As a result of the close communication between us, we have also provided mechanical system budgets and design services for Weis Markets as well as provided mechanical services for their in-house designs. One example is the Danville Store renovation that included a general plumbing and HVAC overall with new equipment and rooftop units. We served as the mechanical contractor to Weis Market's in-house architect and engineer. In addition to working at Weis Market stores we have also be fortunate to work at their corporate offices including a VAV system renovation with new air handling unit and chiller for which Silvertip was the design engineer.
