About Us
Silvertip Incorporated is a full service mechanical contractor that serves all fields of commercial and industrial construction including education, healthcare, business office, manufacturing, apartment/dormitory living, parking and transit, sewage treatment facility as well as specialty systems such as dust collection, pure water, smoke evacuation, and critical room air conditioning. In addition, Silvertip provides design-build, budgeting, value engineering, time and material, service contracts, computer aided drafting, and is beginning implementation of three dimensional building modeling. An administrative staff of over twenty project managers, estimators, accoutants, and administrative officers manage project schedules, deliveries, personnel, material/equipment procurement, and project completion on a daily basis.
We are comprised of skilled pipefitters, plumbers, sheetmetal workers, steam fitters, and welders. Silvertip also employees a service department certified in medical gas, brazing, testing and balancing, commissioning, and start-up for equipment as simple as a condensate pump to custom fabricated air handling units, boilers, and ATC systems. We have experience with a variety of systems including VAV-reheat, two-pipe, four-pipe, and constant volume to energy recovery, geothermal well fields, and water source heat pumps. A certified member of the USGBC since 2008 Silvertip has already completed over 15 million dollars of green building design.
Our field and service departments are complimented by our in-house ductwork and pipe fabrication departments; capable to fabricate ductwork and piping per the plans or as the situation requires allows us to stay ahead of schedule and eliminate lead time issues after construction changes. Our sheetmetal shop provides the ability to expand our customer depth from smaller jobs encompassing a single VAV box to larger projects with over two dozen air handling units from ducwork that is 8 inch by 8 inch to ductwork that is 8 feet by 8 feet and larger we are equipped to handle the task. Our pipe shop allows for multiple piece of equipment to be piped off site with the pieces shipped to site for faster assembly. This allows for partial fabricate of boiler and mechanical rooms prior equipment being set thereby decreasing field durations.
Silvertip's shipping and receiving provides a consistent supply of materials to the job site with multiple trips each week to accomodate on-site storage limitations as well as expedited material and equipment needs. CDL licensed drivers are able to transport ductwork and pipe as well as pumps and energy recover units.
In addition Silvertip includes a safety director that provides weekly safety meetings with all field personnel, project safety inspections, and tool/equipment inspections. A service manager that manages annual service contracts as well as equipment start-up. A commissioning manager that works with project commissioning agents to commission and close-out projects. A LEED accredited professional for review of LEED requirements of projects looking to be certified. A Professional Engineer for design-build and system review.
In the past three years we have completed over 200 projects and service contracts for over 90 million dollars of mechanical work including contracts less than $1,000 to over $6,000,000. 25 % of this volume has been projects seeking LEED certification.
Silvertip routinely bids and completes projects from the New York border to Maryland border from State College, PA to Bloomsburg, PA. Averaging between 15 to 25 projects at a given time Silvertip currently has 18 projects on-going.
